Why everyone should be drinking Hunter Valley Chardonnay…

The Scarborough family has been making Chardonnay in the Hunter Valley since 1987. It’s the wine we’re best known for, and the one that started it all at our Hunter Valley home.

Our Scarborough Yellow Label Chardonnay is much loved for its consistent style and easy to spot by its distinctive yellow cap and yellow ribbon featured on the label. We release it with three years’ age to allow the flavours to perfectly integrate, so it’s immediately ready to enjoy. A crowd-pleaser, reliable and the perfect way to start a gathering, have on a picnic or pour and add to a catch-up with friends.

Chardonnay is what we’re known for here in the Hunter Valley, so much so that Scarborough Wine Co make four different styles. Give it a try; you’ll soon discover why our Scarborough Chardonnay is the local favourite. From the heart of the Hunter Valley, from our home to yours.

What does the Scarborough Yellow Label Chardonnay taste like?

On the nose; the Yellow Label has cinnamon poached white peach, with roasted cashews. Hints of buttered sourdough, finished with perfumed French Oak.

On the palate; The freshness off white stone fruit and lime, with the complexity of almonds, butterscotch, stewed nectarines, panna cotta and five spice.

What’s the best food match for Chardonnay? Bouillabaisse of fish, prawns, calamari and mussels with rouille and toasted sourdough.
